Pre-screening of Tony with Martynas Lavickas
Apollo Kinas Akropolyje
We know Anthony Bourdain as the man who turned food into a way of telling stories about the world. But where did it all begin? Tony takes us back to his youth – a time when the kitchen was just becoming a place to discover yourself, your voice, and your people.
On August 26, join us at Apollo Kino Akropolyje for the exclusive premiere of Tony with Martynas Lavickas.
If you love food, great stories, and people who aren’t afraid to live life on their own terms, this is a film worth seeing on the big screen.
Tony
Before becoming one of the most iconic figures in the worlds of food and travel, Anthony Bourdain was a 19-year-old aspiring writer who had no idea where life would take him.
In 1976, Tony takes a summer job in the kitchen of a seafood restaurant in Provincetown. What begins as a temporary job soon becomes a life-changing experience. The chaotic kitchen, demanding chef Ciro, colorful colleagues, mistakes, first victories, and a growing passion for food gradually shape the man the whole world would come to know.
Tony is a sensitive and vibrant story about the beginning of a journey that would give rise to one of the most influential storytellers in modern gastronomy.
